UGC Creator Program

Getting Started

How do I sign up as a UGC creator?

Log in to your CopyWins dashboard and go to the Refer & Earn section. That's where the UGC creator application lives. Follow the steps to submit your profile and social handles.

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews your profile and handles. If it's a fit, we'll send you the Creator Partnership Agreement to sign, along with your Schedule A — the page that spells out your specific deal terms (number of videos, view commitment, CPM rate, and total payout).

When can I start creating?

Once the contract is signed and your Schedule A is finalized, you're live. You can start producing content immediately — just remember every piece has to go through approval before it's published (see below).

Do I need an existing audience?

We look at content quality and audience fit, not just follower count. Apply and let us evaluate.

How the Deal Works

How does the payment structure work?

It's a CPM + Minimum View Commitment (MVC) model:

  • You commit to posting a set number of videos (your Committed Videos).

  • Those videos need to hit a total view threshold — your MVC.

  • Once the MVC is met, you're paid a CPM rate (a dollar amount per 1,000 qualifying views).

All three numbers are in your Schedule A.

What if I hit the MVC before I've posted all my videos?

Then you're done. You can stop posting and you become eligible for payment.

What if I post all my videos and still haven't hit the MVC?

You keep posting additional content — through the same approval process — until the MVC is reached. There's no deadline on this, but there's also no payment until the threshold is met.

Do I get partial payment for views before I hit the MVC?

No. There is no partial, prorated, or interim payment. The MVC is a gate — nothing is owed until you cross it.

What if I stop posting before hitting the MVC?

No payment becomes due for that content, regardless of the reason for stopping. This is the single most important thing to understand before signing.

Do organic and paid views both count?

Your Schedule A specifies which counts. The standard template is organic views only.

Content & Approval

Do I need approval before posting?

Yes, always. Submit every piece of content to CopyWins for written approval 48–72 hours before your scheduled publication date.

What if you ask for revisions?

You need to incorporate requested revisions within 24 hours.

What happens if I post without approval?

Publishing unapproved content is a material breach of the agreement and that piece of content forfeits payment eligibility entirely.

Do revision requests count against my video count or cadence?

No. Minor edits requested for compliance, brand safety, or accuracy don't count against your posting cadence or Committed Video count.

Do I have to tag CopyWins?

Yes. Unless the content is structured and labeled as a paid advertisement, you must tag @CopyWins in the video description of every post. Content missing the tag doesn't count toward your MVC until it's corrected.

How long does content have to stay up?

A minimum of 90 days after publication, publicly visible on your page. This holds even if the working relationship ends before then. The only exceptions are removals required by a platform ToS violation, a legal or regulatory order, or a written request from CopyWins.

What happens if I take a video down early?

No payment is due for content removed before the 90-day minimum.

Views & Tracking

How are views counted?

Through CopyWins' tracking system, UTM links, and/or native platform analytics. Those are the sole source of truth for payment.

Can I dispute view counts with my own screenshots?

No. Creator-reported screenshots and third-party analytics tools aren't valid for payment disputes.

What counts as invalid traffic?

Views from bots, paid engagement farms, view-botting services, or any other artificial inflation. These are excluded from both MVC and payment calculations.

What happens if invalid traffic is suspected?

We may audit view sources at any time and withhold payment pending investigation. Confirmed use of invalid traffic means immediate termination, forfeiture of all pending payment, and clawback of any prior payments tied to the affected content.

Payouts

How do I get paid?

Payouts are sent through Wise. You'll need a Wise account set up with details matching your creator profile.

When are UGC payouts calculated?

UGC earnings are calculated once a month, at the beginning of the month, covering the prior month's confirmed activity.

How do I actually receive the money?

You need to submit a payout request from your dashboard. Payouts aren't sent automatically — once your balance appears after the monthly calculation, request it and we'll process it.

How long does payment take?

Payment is processed within three (3) business days of CopyWins confirming your MVC has been met and your payout request being received.

When is no payment due?

  • Content removed before the 90-day minimum

  • Content published without approval

  • Views deemed invalid

  • Any content where the MVC hasn't been met

Who handles my taxes?

You do. You're an independent contractor, not an employee, and you're solely responsible for all taxes on payments received.

Termination & Other Terms

Can CopyWins end the agreement early?

Yes — immediately and without payment of any pending or unearned amount — for brand damage, a compliance or platform-policy violation, confirmed fraud or invalid traffic, publishing unapproved content, or failing to deliver your Committed Videos in the timeframe in Schedule A.

Can I terminate?

Yes, with written notice as specified in your Schedule A. But note: if you stop before the MVC is met, no payment becomes due.

Can CopyWins reuse my content in ads?

Yes. Content created under the agreement — or posted with @CopyWins tagged in the description or your bio — can be repurposed, re-edited, and used for paid ads, organic promotion, and cross-platform distribution (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and others), worldwide and in perpetuity, at no additional cost beyond your agreed payment.

Do I still own my content?

You retain underlying ownership. What you can't do is retroactively revoke the usage license for content already used, distributed, or built into a campaign. CopyWins also holds a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to your name, likeness, and voice for marketing, during and after the term.

Can I discuss my rate with other creators?

No. CPM rates, MVC terms, and negotiation details are confidential and can't be shared with other creators or third parties, except as required by law.

Is being a Creator Insight part of this?

No — that's a completely separate revenue stream under CopyWins' Creator Insight Terms (subscription revenue share). Nothing in the UGC agreement obligates you to become one, though we may cross-promote your signal-provider profile as part of the content usage rights.
